Grain drying with drying containers

Drying containers are suitable for drying smaller quantities of grain. Several containers can be dried simultaneously with one fan. Container dimensions 1.18 x 1.18 x 1.04m, capacity 1.4m3 (approximately 1t of corn). The container has attachments for a forklift. The length of the fork is at least 1.25 m.

The air is blown from the bottom up. The container has a double bottom with an opening for connecting the FI250 hose to the fan. The fan can be fitted with an output cone divided into one or more connections to the FI250 pipe. To dry several containers at the same time, for example 3, you would need a 3kW single-sided suction fan 1RV-3 Gros.

Heating the drying air

Oil or gas heaters

Place the heater about 1m away from the fan and point it at the fan’s suction opening

We know two types of heaters. Heater with and without chimney. The chimney allows us to separate the exhausts and so we get clean warm air without odor.

Heat Exchangers

We attach the Heatexchanger to the fan’s air intake opening. The fan sucks air only through the Heatexchanger and sends it to the material. The water for the Heatexchanger is heated with a wood chip, pellet or firewood heater.
